First round two project idea arrives extra early

In the first round of EfficientGovNow, we were psyched to receive a whopping 65 project ideas to advance government collaboration and efficiency in Northeast Ohio.

Hopes to top that number in EfficientGovNow’s second round took a step in the right direction this Monday, when we received the round’s first project abstract – more than a month before the deadline.

According to the abstract, 17 government entities in Ashtabula County collectively propose creating a network of local government staff to provide countywide, coordinated strategic planning services regarding land use planning.

We’re excited to see this kind of enthusiasm toward the EfficientGovNow program, and hope this collaborative from Ashtabula County inspires more of it.

We’ll keep you posted over the next few weeks as more project ideas arrive. Don’t miss your opportunity to encourage local government entities to participate. The deadline for officials to submit project ideas is 5 p.m. on February 26, 2010.
